UV adhesives are also known as photosensitive adhesives, UV-curable adhesives and shadowless adhesives. This adhesive can only be cured under UV light and has an extremely strong bond. UV stands for ultraviolet light, which is electromagnetic radiation invisible to the naked eye. The photoinitiator in UV adhesives, after absorbing light energy under UV irradiation, generates active radicals or cations that trigger chemical reactions such as monomer polymerisation and cross-linking, turning the adhesive from a liquid to a solid in a few seconds.

UV curing sealing frame adhesive in the electronic paper module edge sealing using the following steps:
1. Substrate processing: before using UV electronic paper edge sealing adhesive, the surface of the substrate to be bonded needs to be cleaned and kept dry and free of impurities and oil to ensure better results.
2. UV electronic paper edge sealant pretreatment: UV electronic paper edge sealant from the refrigerator (5-10 ° C), restore to 25 ° C after use. It is strictly forbidden to open the seal during the whole rewarming process to avoid condensation contamination of the product.
3. Dispensing: Avoid UV light during the heating process, the best temperature is 25°C. To ensure the bonding effect, it is recommended to use a dispensing machine (the specific process parameters of the dispensing machine can be adjusted according to the actual use of the customer). The adhesive is applied evenly to one surface and then the two bonding surfaces are precisely closed.
4. Curing: Select the appropriate UV light (405nm recommended) light curing equipment for irradiation. The thickness of the adhesive layer should be controlled to within 250±10μm. The curing irradiation time is ≥ 15 seconds and requires curing on both sides. If the equipment allows, both sides can be cured at the same time. 5. Curing time: The complete curing time of the UV electronic paper edge sealer is influenced by a number of factors, the main ones being the type of material to be bonded, the thickness of the adhesive layer, and the intensity of the UV irradiation. It is recommended to use a UV intensity tester to test the intensity of light before bonding, which can effectively reduce the scrap rate.
6. When dispensing, it is strictly forbidden to squeeze the adhesive tube, or repeatedly rub the bonding substrate, two bonding materials can be fixed with clamps.
7. If a large area needs to be bonded, it is recommended to use a low-viscosity edge sealer to allow the glue to be applied evenly. Vacuum equipment can also be used if conditions permit, as pressing in a vacuum environment can better remove air bubbles and improve the yield of the finished product.
